We supported the development of the National Charcoal and Forestry Policy for the Somalia Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC). The policy aimed to promote sustainable charcoal production and forestry management, addressing environmental degradation and supporting livelihoods. By engaging with stakeholders and conducting extensive consultations, we ensured that the policy reflected the needs and priorities of local communities.
The project demonstrated our expertise in policy development and our commitment to promoting sustainable natural resource management. The policy provided a framework for balancing economic development with environmental conservation, contributing to long-term sustainability in Somalia.
