We conducted community-focused group discussions (FGDs) and baseline evaluations in Dhahar District, Sanaag, as part of a broader initiative to strengthen livestock sector value chains. The primary objectives of assignment were to assess the current state of livestock value chains and identify opportunities for improvement. We have engaged directly with pastoral communities, the project gathered critical insights into local challenges and opportunities, which informed the design of targeted interventions.
The baseline evaluation provided a comprehensive understanding of the socio-economic dynamics within the community, enabling the development of strategies to enhance livestock productivity, market access, and overall livelihoods. This project highlighted our expertise in participatory approaches and our ability to deliver impactful, community-driven solutions.
